Thank you for visiting my campaign website and welcome! I am running for Southwestern College Board, Seat #4 in order to restore excellence at the College.  Southwestern College is in crisis and for the first time in the college’s 50 year history it has been put on probation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), citing administrative concerns.  This serious sanction could result in Southwestern College losing its accreditation which would result in the loss of college credit for students and eliminate funding for the college.  We need to get Southwestern College back on track and that’s why I am running for office.

With over 31 years at Southwestern College, I proudly served students and our community as a counselor, faculty member, an administrator and as president of the College.  One of my core beliefs is that education provides opportunities that enrich our lives and the lives of our families.  I have seen, first hand, how education transforms people and communities. I am committed to restoring the vital educational contributions that Southwestern College can provide to our region.

Upcoming Events

Precinct Walking

We will be walking every Saturday until election day and I want to invite you to join us.  We meet at my house:  5409 Central Avenue, Bonita, 91902 at 9 a.m. to pick up materials and the precinct maps and we precinct walk from 10 am to noon. Talking to the voters is one of the most important parts of the campaign and can be very informative.  I really hope to see you on Saturdays!
